Services Offered

We provide routine medical treatment to include screening, vaccinations, some routine blood test, electrocardiograms, ultrasounds, and referrals for specialized services such as Surgical, Orthopedic, Optical, and many more. Our other services include:

  • Medical care: Skilled physicians and nurses provide primary care services. 
  • Preventative medicine: We offer immunizations, screenings, and health education. 
  • Pharmacy services: Convenient access to medications and consultations with pharmacists. 
  • Radiology services will be added soon, offering convenient access to diagnostic imaging. 
  • Doctor consultations + referrals to specialty services
  • General health laboratory tests (cholesterol/lipid profile, hemoglobin, liver and renal function, HBA1c, other screening tests)
  • Vaccinations [HPV, Varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Influenza, TDAP]
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Ultrasounds

  • Appointments are preferred but walk-ins may be seen based on availability.

  • Office hours are modified during School Breaks and Observed Holidays.
  • Wearing a mask within the healthcare facility is required
On your appointment day
  • Bring along student ID + government issued ID + insurance card or other insurance documentation
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to check in at the reception desk

–Late arrivals (15 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment time) may be rescheduled

  • If applicable, we request that new or established patients have an updated medical report issued by their healthcare provider emailed to the clinic at clinic@auamed.net
UHC Appointment Cancellation Policy
  • If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel 24-hours prior.
  • A non-refundable no-show fee will be applied to missed appointments. This fee is not covered by insurance.
  • Cancellation fees at the University Wellness Center are paid out-of-pocket and are not covered by insurance.

FAQ

Clinic

  1. What are the Clinic hours? Answers: The Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
  2. How do I schedule an appointment? Answer: Appointments can be made online at https://auamed.medicatconnect.com/ or you can reach out to the Clinic via email at Clinic@auamed.net
  3. What is the cost for an appointment? Answer: The cost will vary based on the service received.
  4. Is there a fee for no-shows or late cancellations? Answer: Yes, the cost is US$50, which is not covered by insurance.
  5. What STI panel does the Health Clinic provide? Answer: We currently have Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomanias (females only), and HIV for all patients.
  6. What vaccines are currently being offered in the Health Clinic? Answer: Hep B, Varicella, MMR, DTaP, Yellow Fever (limited amounts), and the Flu Shot (limited amounts).
  7. What days do the Health Clinic offer PPD skin testing? Answer: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays because of the time it takes to read the results.
  8. Does the Health Clinic offer QuantiFERON and Titer testing? Answer: No, we do not but a requisition form will be provided and directions on which lab offers these services.
  9. How do I receive medication for my Chronic Illness? Answer: A Medical Release Letter must be requested from the University Health Clinic (via email) and the prescribing physician must send a request to the clinic@auamed.net stating a brief history for the patient’s use of medication.
  10. What Lab tests require fasting? Answer: Comprehensive Metabolic panel and Basic Metabolic Panel
  11. Does my school Insurance cover Laboratory tests and all imaging? Answer: Yes

Immunizations

  1. Can the Campus Physician complete my Immunization Record form? Answer: Yes, we can but all vaccination documents need to be provided for reference.
  2. Does the Immunization team accept Walk In students? Answer: No, they do not, students are seen only by appointments.
  3. How do I reach out to the Immunization Staff? You can reach out to the staff via email (only) at immunizations@auamed.net

Pharmacy

  1. What are the Pharmacy hours. Answer: The Pharmacy is open on Mondays & Thursdays from 8am to 10am and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 10am to 12pm.
  2. Where do I go to get my prescription filled? Answer: Prescriptions written by Campus Physicians can be filled at the UHC Pharmacy.
  3. Does the Pharmacy carry over-the-counter medications? Answer: Yes
  4. May I schedule an appointment with the Pharmacist? Answer: Appointments can be made online at https://auamed.medicatconnect.com/ or you can reach out to the Pharmacist via email at Pharmacist@auamed.net

Insurance Waivers

  1. If I do not want the school’s insurance, can I opt-out and use my own? Answer: You must complete an insurance waiver application.
  2. How do I reach out to the Insurance Waiver staff? Answer: You can reach out to staff via email (only) at insurancewaiver@auamed.org.

Billing

  1. What form of payment do you accept? Answer: University Park Health Center accepts payment via cash, credit or debit cards.
  2. Can I pay online? Answer: Online payment is not available.
  3. Do I have to pay a copay with the school’s insurance? Answer: No co-pay is required when you check in for your appointment.
  4. Can you directly bill my insurance company? Answer: No, we only directly bill the school’s insurance (Cigna).
  5. Does the school’s insurance cover physical therapy services? Answer: Yes, however, you will have to pay out of pocket and submit your claim on the Cigna portal.
  6. If I do not have the school’s insurance, can I be seen at the clinic? Answer: Absolutely, however, please remember that you are ultimately responsible for settling your bill at the end of your service/visit.
  7. Do you accept any other insurance besides the school’s insurance? Answer: No, we do not accept private insurance.
  8. Is there a payment plan, if I am unable to pay all my bill at once? Answer: Yes, our Medical Billing assistant is available to discuss a payment plan with you Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  9. Do I have to pay at the time of my visit if I do not have the school’s insurance? Answer: Yes, you do.
